I grew up with a pencil in my hand. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, raised in Kuna, Idaho, and I now split my time between Wellsville, Utah and Rexburg, Idaho, where I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2D Art at Brigham Young University–Idaho.

I always knew I wanted to make art my career, but it was near the end of high school — and especially while serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — that the passion became a calling. I came home with a deeper appreciation for what a painting can do: inspire faith, preserve a meaningful moment, and tell a story that words alone cannot.

My greatest influence is my Savior, Jesus Christ. I find inspiration in the beauty God has created — sweeping landscapes, wildlife, and the quiet moments of everyday life that often go unnoticed. I'm also deeply grateful for my parents, Emily and Randon, who have always supported my dream, and for my great-uncle John Burton, an artist whose willingness to share his work first gave me the confidence to share mine.

I work primarily in oil, and I also love gouache and the occasional charcoal piece. Whatever the medium, I'm drawn to subjects that carry joy, peace, hope, and quiet reflection. One of the most meaningful pieces I've made is a watercolor of the Grand Canyon painted in high school — the painting that convinced me I could build a future as an artist.

When I'm not in the studio, I love camping, fishing, traveling, and exploring America's national parks. Many of my ideas begin outdoors, or in the quiet hours of the morning while I paint with an audiobook playing. Looking ahead, I hope to create artwork that shares the beauty of God's creations and the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ — especially moments from the scriptures that are less often painted.
